Joel Bird is a true creative with a unique set of skills and a passion for low cost ingenious design. His success as a maker stems from his years of experience working on a wide range of projects, from building bespoke wooden buildings to crafting artisanal furniture. His passion for preserving the skills and philosophy of craft inspired him to write ‘The Table Maker’ & ‘The Book of Shed’. , TV work includes BBC’s ‘Your Garden Made Perfect’ & ‘Gardeners World’ & Channel 4’s ‘Shed of the year’ & ‘Amazing Spaces’. He is a lifelong musician and his love of jazz fuelled an interest in all things vintage.
