Joel Bird is a modern folk artist inspired by graveyards, sea shanties and spaghetti western ride outs. He tells bitter sweet stories about the human condition some place between melancholia and Morricone. Joel Bird has supported Elvis Costello on his UK tour and toured America with his own band, he has also written soundtracks for TV, film & theatre productions.

Joel Bird’s musical origins lie in jazz and electronica, but a love folk in all its guises prevailed and his compositions are now a mix of jazz and dark Americana, played with both traditional instruments and subtle electronics.
